If you tried to join a Deathmatch server running v0.7b, you may have noticed something strange: the server just kept switching maps, over and over, with no way to actually play. Not exactly the welcome we had in mind.

Turns out a small change under the hood — adding the new Sprint mode to the game’s internal list — accidentally shuffled the numbering of every mode that came after it. Deathmatch ended up impersonating Elimination, which clears the map the moment nobody’s racing. Mystery solved, one endless loop of shame later.

The mode list is now locked in with proper fixed numbers. DM is DM, Racing is Racing, everything is where it belongs — and this can’t happen again when we add new modes in the future.

If you’re running a team server — CTF, Team DM, Domination, KOTH or any other team mode — you’ll need to update the g_gametype number in your server config. The new Server Setup page in the docs has the full table, it takes 30 seconds. Everyone else: you’re good, no changes needed.

Download v0.7c, hop in, and try not to crash on the first corner.
